Two (2) days after I purchsed this case the belt clip broke. The case protects great, but if you're looking for a belt clip to carry it, look elsewhere.

Shattered iPhone screen no more 2010-07-27

A few months after I bought my first iPhone, it slipped from its cover and fell on a concrete sidewalk. Of course, the screen smashed into smithereens. I painfully had to replace the iPhone for $200. An Apple employee recommended that I purchase an Otterbox online. I had never heard of this brand, so I looked it up online, and learned about the three layers of protection. I decided to purchase it, as I was not willing or able to spend $200 every time the iPhone fell to the ground.

I am very happy with my purchase. It is true that this item is bulky and unsightly, and the water mark can be annoying at times. Nevertheless, the protection offered by the Otter Box outweighs any negative aspect. In fact, two of my friends have purchased the Otter Box based on my recommendation.

I love this case because an iPhone is NOT exactly easy to live with. Yes, my dearniPhone I love you for all the ways you help me, for your directions, apps, phone, and all the other stuff but why, oh, why do you have to be so high maintenance? Who would have thought dropping you from 3 feet would break you? Or that fingerprints and scratches could maim you so? But, you can once again be the love of my life with Otterbox. Otterbox holds you tight in a hard plastic shell but let's menhold you in soft comfort. My only wish for the dear Otterbox is that the attached screen cover would be matte so I can actually read you outdoors.
But, a small price to pay for the security blanket of the Otterbox. When I upgrade to iPhone 4, you can bet unwilling rely on you. Otterbox and iPhone: bff's forever.

Straight up, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I saw Otterboxes for 50 bucks in the stores, and thought that, for a couple pieces of plastic and a rubber cover, this was outrageous, but, the price here on Amazon, could not be beat.
I thought there may be a catch, but paid the money and eagerly awaited my Otterbox. It arrived on time, and was exactly like the ones in the stores for much more. It was in the original packaging. Never having put one of these together, I went on YouTube and found lots of great videos showing exactly how to install the iPHONE in the Otterbox. Worked like a charm and within minutes, the Otterbox was professionally installed as protection over my iPHONE 3Gs. When I get an iPhone 4, the first thing I will do is buy an Otterbox for it, and buy it online, here.

If you are like me and drop things and lot, and get upset when you scratch your phone, GET THE OTTERBOX. For the money, it is the best protection available for your phone. I dropped my phone only once , and thank God, it was after I had the Otterbox installed. I dropped in in a hard parking lot with large pebbles embedded in the parking lot surface. I picked the phone up , dusted off the black rubber / silicone cover, and it was good as new, not one hint of ANY damage.

I cannot praise this enough. It is one of the best purchases I have made in years, and everytime I pick up my phone, I say a silent prayer that I am so glad I bought it, and thankful I got it at such a great price here at Amazon.
