Purchased this to replace old FM transmitter because of reception issues and lack of charger for my iPhone.
The good: The cradle is great as it grips well and releases quickly with a button so I can answer the phone. Fits tight in the 12v socket and is adjustable in every direction and locks where you want it.
The bad: Quite a bit of static even though I synced every blank station from the bottom to the top of the FM spectrum. Just could not get a static free station. There is no way I could answer the phone with this thing. Even after turning the radio volume 100% I could barely hear the caller. I have a convertible with the top down a lot of the time so didn't expect to use this feature anyway. So that is a minor issue.
Overall much better than my old FM transmitter and it keeps my phone charged which is very important. I can now stream Pandora without my battery going dead. I got one of my cup holders back as my old setup used one of them. I really need to get a radio for my car with direct input. I just hate the cheesy looking aftermarket radios as my center stack is a work of art and don't want to deface it. This is the best compromise.

I've had this FM tuner for a year. It was the best $35 I spent. I used it all the time to run the GPS while playing music.
But after a year of usage it refuses to connect. It now works on a blue moon. And even if it does work, hit a bump or make a tight turn and it will switch off.
I am now getting a new FM tuner but something WITHOUT that FLEX NECK. The flex neck can't support the weight and over time will wear away the adapter until it stops working.
Got it for my ipod touch 3rd gen.

I just got my flexpod carmount transmitter for my ipod touch 3rd. gen and like it so far. Sound quality is awesome and it seems to hold up well. I just got it though, so i don't know any future issues, but so far it works great. It holds my ipod well. The rubber grips definitely hang on to it and they're easlily adjustable as well as the little feet at the bottom and work great. The standing mount is easily adjustable and easy to use. Overall i rated 4 1/2 out of 5. The 1/2 is because you can't charge your ipod while listening to music. That is the only drawback and I'm okay with it since it does charge while driving. The look of it is also great, doesn't look cheap and i know it isn't. I paid $25 for mine because it was supposed to be used but actually it was new just but box was beat up ,which was in the item condition and description. So, i'm happy with it. It works great when charging or listening to music, it would have been nice if it did both at the same time. The adjustablility was great b/c i have a standard and adjusted it easliy to keep it out of the way to still drive but convenient enough to use when driving. For the price i paid it was great but i would keep looking if i had to spend $40 for it. There has to be one that does both at the same time for that price. Thanks

Accessory Power iPod and iPhone All in One Car Kit Cradle with FM Transmitter
The set up was super easy and the sound was great. The only problem was that it would not stand up straight when plugged into the outlet. Every time the car would make a turn the Flexpod would fall over. I could have tolerated this however after using the product about 3 times when inserted into the outlet a message showed saying that "this accessory is not compatible with the iphone," and the product died! It completely stopped charging my phone or transmitting to my radio.
I bought this as a gift for my sister so the 30-day return policy for Amazon had already passed when I gave it to her. This is where the problem begins. I contacted the company regarding their warranty and after many attempts to speak with a live human being I was informed that I would get a free replacement. However, I would have to pay for shipping the defective model back to them as well as shipping for the new model to be sent to me. This would cost approximately $15.00.
I bought different brand on Ebay for $13.00 (shipping included) and it works great!

I really like everything about this product except its durability. When it is new, it works so well. It holds my phone, plugs it in to power, plays it through the radio. However, I have had 2 of these now and both of them broke after a couple of months. The second one has 2 faults. the cable that plugs into the phone broke. Also, the cigarette lighter plug has fallen apart 3 times now. I was able to put that back together and make it work again. The plug on the phone has a short in the wire. I don't think I can repair that.
