I've never been one to purchase silicon cases, but I couldn't find an iPhone case that adequately protected my iPhone. I ended up getting a plastic screen cover (a pain to properly adhere to the screen since it always manages to attract every piece of dust in my house) and an "Incase" plastic case. But these two items can't compare to what "Otter" has done. This case comes with a the plastic screen cover to protect the touch screen from scratches, a hard plastic case to envelope the phone and the silicone sleeve to cover everything. No more static cling screen protectors! The front portion is slightly raised lip which helps to protect the screen when it falls (so it doesn't land directly on the screen but on the case, which should absorb the shock). The "Incase" case's lip is considerably more shallow. The added belt clip is nice touch, not a fan, personally, of the belt clip, but it definitely holds the phone in place. I would have liked a wrist strap, but you can't have everything! I would certainly look into the other "Otter" phone cases.
P.S. The prices on Amazon have been very competitive. In the store, whose name rhymes with "Smest-Guy", this same case retails for $49.99. I got mine for $19.99.

Solid construction
Only issue I have is when turning on the ringer from vibrate, the switch is partially blocked. Flipping from ringer to vibrate is no issue.

Everything about the purchase was fine. The product disappointed me somewhat.
I found the snug fit of the OtterBox caused a compression smear on my screen. It is very visible when the unit is off, but more or less disappears when the unit is on. Also discovered I cannot charge my unit in the car as I could before installing the OtterBox. Other than that it is fine.

Great price for this case. I have seen them selling for twice as much elsewhaere. Provides the most protection I have seen for the iphone.
