I just received my Griffin Simplifi. I wanted to plug in my iPhone 4 to a dock that didn't require me to pull off the Bumper. The Apple dock doesn't fit with the bumper on. Several people mentioned that this unit worked well... and it does, but not perfectly.
Here are the issues:
- It doesn't charge my phone when the computer is off, despite having a separate A/C adaptor. (and they are upfront about this on their website, I just didn't look until after I bought it.)
- It didn't charge my iPhone 4 until I plugged it directly into my computer, it didn't work off a powered USB hub. (it would sync but not charge on the USB hub.) Weird, definitely but it works now, so I'm ok with it.
Definitely handy and not terrible looking (and got my separate card reader off my desk!)
Super handy

I've been using this for several months and it's a super handy device to have. Not only a dock, but it gives me much easier to access USB ports for my Mac Mini, and the card reader is a helpful device to have.
A very nice device

I like the functionality of the card slots, iphone dock, and powered USB ports in one device. Some similar devices are so light and cheaply made they do not sit flat if attached cables have any bend or tension. This is solidly made, has some weight to it, and has a non-slip material on the bottom that keeps it in place nicely. Highly recommend.
Partially works

It has a great appearance, but the main function (charging an iPhone) doesn't work. I have the old 8GB iPhone, 2nd generation I think? With Windows 7. I don't know if this device would work with 3G, 3GS, or iPhone 4. But I did hear that this device works great with Apple computer. However, that is just what I have heard. I didn't return the unit because it's card reader works great and I happen to have cameras that have SD card, CF card, and pro stick duo. Yet I haven't got a all-in-one reader. Therefore, this is a great card reader but a poor phone charger. Side note, when I use this device as a card reader, the USB cord alone has enough power to transfer files.
