I regret I didn't read the negative reviews carefully before buying this item. Everything they say is true. Let me give examples:
- Melissa A. Richards (1 star): Blew Up In My Car---$100 Repair Costs
***My comment: Almost the same happened in the first day and I spent more to repair my car cigarette lighter.
- TRB "TRB" (1 star): Buy something else! -- I knew that for the price it wasn't going to be top quality, but not working more than 30 min is unacceptable.

- Kenneth S. Lipinski (1 star): Cheaply made product -- plastic plug that fits into the lighter is cheaply made and started seperating from the weight of the goose neck holder almost immediately.

I really like this item! the only complaint is that it doesn't come with directions which i had to install it. it took me 10 minutes for me to realize what i was supposed to do. besides that i love the item!!!!

Does what it's supposed to, reasonably good sound, adjustable holder. Still don't know why they call it 8-in-1 (OK, transmitter + holder/dock + charger + remote = 4-in-1, right? :) Anyway, I'd say worth the money.

I think it is made too cheap and does not work well, always falling over when plugged in to power source and the remote never worked, instructions never came with item.

It works better than any other radio transmitter I've tried. I live in Los Angeles, which has a very busy radio band, so I was pleasantly surprised to be able to get as clear of signal as I do. There's still a bit of static at times, as I drive around. That's probably unavoidable unless you buy one that automatically scans for good channels. So for what this product is--and how much it cost--I think it works great. One other thing to note is that if your gear shift is too close to your cigarette lighter, it can be a bit of a hassle to get the product in and out of the lighter.
