Could be better quality

Everyone who discussed the quality of these headphones are right. I am the only user of mine, I never took them outside and used them while sitting at a desk. They totally fell apart after about a year. I can't imagine a teenager using them! Very poor quality. Great sound but why spend that kind of money on something that won't last. I was looking to replace them and saw all the comments about quality. Now I know it wasn't just me.

I bought these for my son, originally in high school and a second pair now that he is in college. A cat chewed up the cord on the first set. My son likes them for studying, riding on airplanes, listening to music and playing computer games at home. I like them so I don't have to hear him playing his computer games or his music. A win-win for both of us.

First off im not a bose fan, i love Klipsch way more, but i have to give credit when credit it due. These are the most comfortable headphones ive ever own. In addition they are extremely light for the size. They structure of these headphones could of been better but as-long as you take care of you equipment you should have no worries. Now about the sound quailty, well its simply amazing, the highs and mids are excellent but it lacks in the bass but not to bad. I wore these headphones on a 4 2hr flights and i could tell the difference between these and noise canceling while the music was playing.
Conclusion
If you can afford a pair of 125 dollar headphones you wont be disappointed in these babies. Just take care of them and you will be ok. In addition BOSE offers that 1 year manufacturers warranty that you can take directly to BOSE store instead of the hassling "mail it in" option.

AS would be expected, they provide a quality of sound totally superior to what you can get with low end in ear headphones. Beyond that, I found that the sound, especially, the bass, is better than many equally expensive models. Even the uber expensive ones we use for the church sound system don't make a drum sound so good. Of course, the main advantage is the quiet. Most sounds get almost completely blocked out, and those that remain are moved the middle frequencies, and so are much less distracting. Sometimes I'll put them on without even listening to something, just to block out sound. I've seen a couple of reviews that knocked the durability, but I for one cannot attest to that. I've had mine for about three years, plus or minus 1 year(not quite sure how long) and I am hard on equipment. I take them everywhere. I bang them, drop them, step on them, and crush them, but they have no damage to the outside, and the speakers haven't taken any damage either. They still look and sound as they did the week that I bought them.
No complaints, though I haven't tried any of bose's direct competitors over a long period of time

I liked these headphones so much I bought a second pair after my first broke. (plastic holding ear pad broke) The headphone jack broke on the second pair broke. Yes, they are comfortable, light weight, good bass, but gotta mark it down given the poor build quality. Also, at this price range they are bested by other products such as Audio Technica ATH-A700 Headphones.
